It mainly provides primary and ample protective and therapeutic oral health care for infants and children through teenage years. Early Childhood Caries which is also known as tooth decay can develop rapidly in children. Children can also be affected by several rare oral diseases like Gingival Fibromatosis which will finally affect the disturbance in the whole health of a child. Common oral problems in children are Tooth Decay: Gum Disease, Teeth Grinding: Thumb Sucking etc.

Orthodontics is the term which deals with the prevention, growth and development of the dentofacial orthopedics, and the identification, prevention and correction of dental and facial irregularities, abnormalities or defects.

For these abnormalities, laser treatments are now in use. Two different kinds of lasers may be used in orthodontic practice: soft tissue surgical lasers, which are used to incise or excise tissue; and photo-bio-modulating (PBM) lasers, which decrease post-treatment discomfort, favorably affect bone growth rate, and accelerate tooth movement.

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is a surgical specialty of Dentistry that combines dental, medical, and surgical knowledge and skills.
